The beginning of the end of the Public Education System?
« on: May 13, 2016, 02:13:32 PM »
You've got all manner of politically correct busy bodies trying to bully NC into allowing anyone to go into any bathroom, based on how they feel, followed by our country's AG, initiating a federal lawsuit, at tax payer expense, to compell NC to overturn its law.

Now you have our Dept of Education & Obama, send out a memorandum, dictating that all public schools, thru-out the country, are to adhere to a similar principle.....anyone can go in to any bathroom that they "identify with".  What the frell??  Not conversing with anyone from congress, just deciding to pull is emperor card out, and with an executive order, order the DoEd to literally give a green light to any boy that feels compelled to go into any girls' bathroom, on a public campus.  Literally, a boy can just follow any girl, into the bathroom, with this order, if they simply better "identify" with that bathroom

The only saving grace is that its merely an executive action, is in, its not a law, that state schools must abide by.  But they do risk losing Federal dollars if they don't

Yeah, sure, they are going to close down thousands of public schools over this silly  potty issue. ...  NOT!

Transgendered children are very rare and transgendered children that are upset over where to pee and poo even rarer.

How could that possibly end the public education system?

Professor literal strikes again.  For someone so supposedly versed in language, your reading comprehension really sucks.  The point of the thead is could this be beginning??  NOT that one case will shut down the DoEd.  But could this effort to allow political correctness such a wide berth as to even embolden the Executive branch to bypass all manner legislation, or even some blue-panel group of teachers & adminstrators, and simply dictate that boys will be allowed to go into the girls bathrooms, all across the country, and not have some detrimental degradation of support for the Dept of Education

Okay, well, this could NOT be the beginning of the end of public education.

YOU could turn into a unicorn. Or perhaps a narwhal.

But the odds are against it.

No, that falls into the category of impossibility.   Try again

The end of the public education system is also an impossibility.

The potty issue is limited by the extreme lack of transgendered children.
In years past, the teachers and principals make special exceptions for these kids and it was no big deal.
Now it is being used by doltish fundamentalists as a way of getting yokels to the polls, and once the elections are over, it will vanish.

Actually, no its not.  It's a Federal program that had a beginning, long after the country was founded and the Constitution ratified.  Combine enough public outrage with the fact that the Constitution neither supports nor mandates such a dept, could definitely bring about an end

But xo's response does drive home how the left looks at their prescious Government programs.  Simply need to get the foot in the door, and once the program or dept is begun, no manner the cost, waste, abuse, bureaucracy, or even utter failure in achievng any goals set up, its to never end.  It's to be a perpetual cog in the life of everyone it effects, and no manner of failure is to deter any such Government program or dept.  It is to stay, forever

You make a good point that the aggrieved party is a very small group.

Cheaper to build each of them a bathroom , than to obey the president.

Doltish LGBT enthusiasts created this problem, probably not aware that this would split the Democratic party.

If Public education is blown on the whims of fads like this , it may be time to build a more reliable system.

It has not split the Democratic Party.
Building special single occupancybathrooms would h=be a way to COMPLY with what Obama has said. Which is by no means unreasonable.

President Obama is not planning to pay for installing an hundred thousand new restrooms in schools across the country, he is planning to make you pay for this necessity he is making necessary.

Perhaps if the LGBT community were willing to pay for these improvements , their hankering for them would be considerably reduced, but I havn't heard of a special LGBT tax nor even user fee.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Let's get the cripples to pay a tax to make special parking spaces for them as well.

So...LGBT is now a disease??   Here's a hint....no "cripple" wakes up one day feeling like they want to be a "cripple"
