WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sens. Evan Bayh, D-Indiana, and Barack Obama, D-Illinois, head to the key campaign state of New Hampshire this weekend, as the two potential presidential aspirants gauge support in the early-proving ground a little more than a year before voters head to the polls.

Bayh is slated to introduce himself to New Hampshire Democrats at three 'meet and greet' receptions in Manchester, Keene, and Cornish. Bayh, who officially established a presidential exploratory committee last week, has said he will decide on a formal run in January.

Meanwhile, Obama will rally with key Granite State Democrats when he keynotes the State Party's midterm election victory celebration in Manchester Sunday. The Illinois Democrat is also scheduled for a book signing in Portsmouth.

Obama has said he will decide shortly on whether to embark on a presidential run.

Tune into CNN Sunday and Monday for Chief National Correspondent John King's reports from the Granite State.
