Maine and Maryland legalize gay marriage. Colorado and Washington State legalize recreational marijuana.
BSB
-
At least the changes came at the ballot box instead of the courtroom.
-
Gay marriage will eventually be legitimized in the entire country. Probably so will recreational pot.
This is as it should be.
-
Jesus Christ.
-
I doubt that Jesus had a position on recreational pot.
Probably not on gay marriage, either.
At some point the ratbag right will have to realize that they are as obsolete in this country as wearing Klan robes and burning crosses.
-
Until they win the next election.
-
Every day, there are fewer people who agree with the obsolete, militaristic fatcats.
The Democrats only have to do a better job at getting out the vote.
-
If Obama is not on the ballot those blacks, latinos and minorities do not show up, as in 2010. Unless the Democrats have another Obama, they aren't going to win the White House. It was pretty close this time with record turnout of those groups. Biden certainly wont.
-
There's one problem with your theory there Rumpty. The midterms have a different electorate then presidential elections. It's a different crowd son. I know it takes you a little longer than most to grasp these things so we'll try and be patient.

Yea, we can expect this next midterm to mirror the one in 2010.....goodbye Senate control
-
BuckShote Butthead: "The midterms have a different electorate then (sic) presidential elections. It's a different crowd son."
There is a different electorate when Obama is not running. Period. Blacks, latinos, and young people are not going to show up in large numbers and vote for presumed Democrat nominee Joe Biden. He is also not going to go on stage with JayZ. Also, your theory proves my point that Col. West will be relelected in '12.

relelected in '12?
When in 2012 will there be an elelection?
You don't know diddley about Florida politics. I live here. What will bring people to the pools in 2014 will be the removal of Governor Skeletor, the fraudster that bought the 2010 election, cut the early voting days by half and put ten stupid amendments on the ballot to make voting as difficult as possible.
Scott is toast, and so is West.
-
You don't know diddley about Florida politics.
Obvisiouly I meant 2014. You said that Gov. Scott would get crushed and you were wildly off the mark, as usual. You also said that Kucinich would do quite well in the Florida primary, and how many votes did he get, 3?
-
I did NOT say that Kucinich would do well,I only said that I voted for him. I liked Kucinich more than anyone else in the primary. I did NOT say that I thought he would get the nomination.
-
Remember you also used to call Charlie Crist, Charlie Christ and mocked him mercilessly. Now that he will probably be the Democrat nominee for Governor of Florida will you vote for him or will you be intellectually honest? And did you vote for Crist for senate or did you vote for Kindrick Meek in '10?
-
I voted for Meek. He was my congressman previously, and did a good job. I think it was foolish for Meek to risk a run for the Senate.
All I said was that some dense fundies no doubt voted for Crist because of his name. Pointing out that some names are preferable to others, (all things being equal, a Crist will surely get more votes than someone named Hitler or even someone named Czolgosz) was what I was talking about. That is not "mocking him mercilessly".
I would prefer a real Democrat to Crist, but if the Democratic party runs him, I imagine I will find him the better choice. I disagree with the philosophy of the Republican't Party, now more than ever. They have not had a decent presidential candidate since Eisenhower.

Rumpy "There is a different electorate when Obama is not running. Period. Blacks, latinos, and young people are not going to show up in large numbers and vote for presumed Democrat nominee Joe Biden.."
Oh really? And why not?
BSB
-
In general, they're not going to want to vote for an idiot to run the country. Biden's got that area perfected, however
-
"In general, they're not going to want to vote for an idiot to run the country."
I see, so is that why they didn't vote for Romney?

Naaaa....the electorate was saturated with the notion that all this debt & unemployment is still somehow Bush's fault. Bravo MSM
Come 2016, not only will the damage to the country be all Democrats, you won't have your leg tingling messiah to pull you out of it. It'll be left to Mr "...3 letter word....J - O - B - S.....Jobs"
-
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?
-
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaa...................naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
-
I find sirs belief that J O B S is a three letter word to be rather droll.
-
Wow, even the langauge professor got it wrong, since it was our "brilliant" VP that referred to jobs as a 3 letter word. not sirs. I refer to jobs as a 4 letter word. Most of the English speaking world would. I can only imagine what you taught your students
-
Hilarious.
-
It is droll , if he ment to do it.
By the way, all of my mispellings have always been droll.
Every one of them!
Mustof been ten or twenty now.
