G5 is coming.

If you visit the home of Bill and Melinda Gates, you will be given a name tag. This tag not only reminds the host of your name , it contains an RFID. The House will know where you are , your favorite music will follow you around , the lights will come on ahead of you and extinguish behind you.

This same system can know where people without the authorizing chip are making unauthorized entrance, pretty good security.

The Internet of Things is a system of sensors and actuators that communicate with the internet and can relay messages from each other to the internet if any are in shadow, you may never loose your keys or remote ever again.

G5 is going to improve the bandwidth of Bluetooth style connection to the point that every person can be surrounded by a dozen sensors that keep up with his stuff and his state of being, if you are not careful you might have hundreds of devices and sensors in your vehicle , kitchen appliances entertainment devices, pets, medical monitors and weapons, all communicating with each other and with the internet via your G5 cell phone.

Hey , your stuff will not only be theft proof , it will be hard to loose it at all, kidnapping will become extremely difficult, shoplifting will be impossible, nobody will get away with anything.

On the downside , nobody will get away with anything.

WiSilica, the smart environment enabler creating a more intelligent IoT, has launched an end-to-end solution for connecting millions of devices that can understand their environment and use predictive intelligence to improve the user experience, reduce cost and improve efficiency. Taking advantage of the existing smartphone ecosystem and WiSilica’s proprietary mesh networking technology, the WiSe platform enables customers to easily configure smart homes, buildings, lighting, sensors and wearables into intelligent devices that they can manage via mobile apps and in the cloud.

Behavioral and contextual intelligence delivered through significant improvements in real-time presence and awareness:  Devices can be configured to act on events initiated by other devices, enhancing operational efficiency while improving the user experience.  Real-time presence and awareness are increased through a combination of cloud-based services and software agents running across devices, gateways and applications, ensuring that smart environments can understand user needs in real-time and identify, predict and synchronize services, rather than requiring all device prompts and triggers to be configured in advance.
• Anytime, anywhere access:  leverages the existing smartphone ecosystem along with BLE protocols and mesh networking so users can manage and operate devices remotely using mobile apps and the cloud.
• Decentralized control:  Enables phones to communicate directly with devices, eliminating the need for a bridge to support autonomously operating applications.

Oh and...   There will be money made.
