He certainly did bring "change".....worse than even his critics predicated.   Changing of the country into a more socialist one, but since he knew he couldn't campaign on that, he lied thru his teeth.

I am rather pleased with what Obama did.

Considering the horrible mess Juniorbush left behind, he has done a pretty good job and what he has not accomplished has been due to the idiot Republican'ts.

Well of course you are, you're a socialist.  And what's worse is that you justify all the lying and circumventing our Constitutional form of Government, because it's supporting your ideological agenda.   Ironically, everything you'd be hypocritically screaming to high heaven, if some Republican President were to be trying to pull the same crap in trying to circumvent things such as EPA regulations, tax laws, or gun laws

Now everyone can get health insurance.

  Not really.

If it took such a big ______ deal to reduce the uninsured by half, what will it take to cover the other half?

The solution is to extend Medicare, along with the option of Medicare Advantage options to everyone.
But Obamacare was still useful because now there will be no going back to the horrible system we had before.

The solution is to get Government out of controlling the lives of its people, via their health.  That is neither the function of Government nor a mandate

So "horrible", that the vast majority of the population supported and LIKED the idea of being able to keep their insurance and their physician

The ONLY think that could have been tweeked, is legislation to better provide access to coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.  THAT'S ALL.  It's the epitome of reckless irresponsibility to destroy something that worked WELL for most of the population, to try and help a small % of that population.  And even then, they're still not all covered

It IS the business of the government and SHOULD BE a mandate.

I disagree that it was horrible before.

I would grant that it could have used improvements , such as coverage for preexisting conditions, and a few other changes that could have made coverage more generally available.

These would have been tweaks, improvements of the sort that always happen periodically. If each of these improvements had been introduced individually most would have passed .

It was not necessary to bulldoze the whole house to install another bathroom and renovate the kitchen.

What we have now is built on the wreck of the old system with rubble as its foundation.

How dare the government presume that the government has rights to experiment with the welfare of the people like this?

The fact of the matter that it is NEITHER, regardless your desire that it be.  NOWHERE in the Constitution, does it outline or declare that the Government is to provide healthcare for its citizens.  Did I mention, nowhere?

The health of the people is the health of the nation.

And Government interfering with that is directly making the health of the nation WORSE

Not the case in any of the other nations that have universal health care.

Obamacare is not perfect, it is just the best thing they could get through Congress at the time. Now it needs to be improved.

We're not "any other nation".  We are the United States, with a CONSTITUTION that DICTATES WHAT THE GOVERNMENT CAN AND CAN NOT DO.  And currently what it IS doing, is ruining healthcare in this country.  I'm witness to it, 1st hand

Yea, we're all overworked, having to do more, with less, and still try to provide some level of quality of care, that just isn't possible under the new parameters of healthcare being imposed.....BY THE GOVERNMENT

They're called breaks, not that my job has anything to do with the point of the thread outside of my direct witness to the casualty of healthcare, thanks to Obamination care, and the Fed trying to take control of everythign it has no business taking control of
