I am suspicious.

Not that it is a bad idea to make people with violence and mental instability in their history refrain from gun owner ship.

But that the dfinition of "violent " and "mental instability " is in the hands of the Congress ,where Catch 22 was invented.

I'm very suspicious, too.
All that info flowing from medical records offices across computer, phone and fax lines, all caught up in the huge governmental datasweep....
How much effort would it take to "ding" every citizen who'd been screened as possibly being depressed? How many people take an antidpressant? Would they be classed as mentally unstable, and thus not able to own a gun?
Bad, bad precedent.
