In a scene from the movie Caddyshack, Rodney Dangerfield's caddy complains about having to carry a heavy golf bag. Dangerfield tells the kid to suck it in, that when he was that age, he had to carry twenty-pound blocks of ice to the top of ten-story buildings The kid is not impressed. "So what?" he says.

"So what?" Dangerfield replies. "So let's dance!"

I'm totally slammed at work right now and I've never really had any exchanges with repubgirl but we're going to have to talk about her reviews and where she is totally right and where she goes horribly wrong.

(Needless to say, she slams on Prince a couple of times and that will not stand.)

The greatest thing about YouTube is that it has many of the cheesy 80s videos we loved.  I was offended when my 27-year-old nephew hooted at Human League doing "Don't You Want Me".....he obviously doesn't recognize true acting and singing talent!  Well that and the lead singer in makeup reminds me that fashion statements in the 80s should stay in the 80s.

hrumph.

I thought Human League was great.  Especially with Phil Oakley's makeup and the hot female singers that he resembled and they all looked like Barbara Steinbeck on As The World Turns.

Their best song was FASCINATION though.

Oh, and Brass, you might want to clarify that you're talking about the artist formerly known as "the artist formerly known as Prince", and not me. Not that most folks would confuse me with Prince if they knew anything about my severe lack of musical talent.

Yes, UP, I was puzzled by that.  Obviously haven't had enough caffeine yet!
I missed most of the 80s music.  I was working at a doctor's office in a Bible Belt area, and we had some patients who complained about the "suggestive lyrics" in the pop songs that the local radio station played.
The doc changed it to some easy listening station.
