he`s one of a very small group of people who write`s fantasy with humour.
and I`m proud to say I`m one of a rare group of fans who loyally keep collecting his works.
I say rare because at times we had to wait over 10 years for the next book.
the man`s personal life is easily called chaotic
.
so much trouble that he has to co-write his books in order for the IRS to not take all his money.
he will be missed.

Yeah, some members of the SCA don't pay enough attention to their "mundane" life.

================================
The very highest tax bracket is 35% at over $350,000, so the IRS doesn't take all of anyone's money. No one pays 35%, but if he did, he'd get to keep $227,000 every year. His agent's commission is of course, deductible. For evey million he made, he could keep over $650,000. I doubt that this would cramp anyone's lifestyle much.

If he moved to Ireland, he could keep it all.

It's too late for that now.

Due to a series of personal and financial problems, Asprin stopped writing in the 1990s. Eventually, these problems were somewhat resolved, and in the late 1990s and early 2000s, he wrote several novels in collaboration with authors Peter Heck, Jody Lynn Nye, and Linda Evans: as a result of the conditions of his agreement with the IRS, [2] it would receive all income earned from books for which he was credited as sole author, making it in his own best interest to reduce his role to co-author. These novels included continuations of the "Myth" series and the "Phule" series as well as works in original series.

wow
I never even thought of using wiki to look him up
I`ve met jody several times and met people from meisha press to update me on robert .
he`s very well known for those extremely long gaps between books.
I`ll miss his creations
skeeve and aahz
the time scouts and doc savage are my imspirations to be a polymorph.
well hienlien`s "have spacesuit will travel" might of been the seed.
it`s soo hard to find humorous fiction writer`s.
they truely are a rare breed
in my youth I torture the local bookstore owner for funny scifi/fantasy
he sometimes flinch when I show up.

Yeah, I forgot Pratchett.

Card has some funny stuff in his short stories. Check out some earlier editions of the InterGalactic Medicine Show (http://www.intergalacticmedicineshow.com/).

If I had the money I`d go to england
the british seemed to have quite alot of humorous writers
ex.pratchett &gaimen-good omens
when possible I go to book conventions and load up on books from overseas
due to the downturn of the private own bookstores
it hard to find good books for me.
but at least I don`t have to spend so much money.

For cheap books, try http://www.edwardrhamiltonbooks.com

Amazon has good reviews on many of the books it sells, as does Barnes & Noble (http:www.bn.com)

Click on where Amazon says "New and USED from $x.xx" Often the price is one cent, plus postage and handling, which comes out to $350 or so per book.

half.com and daedalus.com also have good deals on books.

Near any university, there are always very good used bookstores.

thanks ami
somehow you know my weakness

thanks xo
new source to get cheap books IS always appreciated

but my problem is getting references to funny fiction books
as i said before I used to harrass the local bookstore owner to refer me to books
but nowadays it kinda hard to contact anyone to steer me to right direction.
