Next week will be very rainy in the Southeast.

Might even be signifigant storm damage in Florida and Gulf Coast states.

Then after that we are warned Mitt Romney will be more free to spend money on comercials , and of course the President will make sure to use the bully pulpit to its utmost.

Yes , lets follow injury with insult.

I imagine that many ads by both candidates will be insulting and inaccurate.

Negative campaigns tend to be more effective than positive ones.

There is way too much money available for ads. McCain's ads were insufferable in 2008. They repeated the same ad dozens of times per hour.

I expect you are right.

But this money is being given to the media, there is little motive for the media to sponsor any better idea.

I see that Kirsten Gillibrand is warning women that Republicans wish to ban contraception.

There are Republicans that would like to ban contraceptives. It is a good bet that 90% of those who want to ban contraceptives are (1) men and (2) Republicans. Santorum seemed to favor the idea.

On the other hand , a woman does not need contraceptives if her pants are on fire.

It should not be up to anyone but the woman in question as to whether she has contraceptives.

If she needs contraceptives then there is a man who needs at least to know what her choice is.

Most sex is recreational, and since the availability of contraceptives, all sex could be recreational.
