amazing how President Bush's exact specific warnings were EXACTLY
correct and we see them now playing out right before our eyes today.

LOL...notice now its it's back to it's "Bush's fault"    ;D   Don't forget Romney nailed how this was going to happen as well, with the policy put in place, not by Bush, by by our current Incompetent n Chief

Since Juniorbush mongered the damn war in the first place, of COURSE it is his fault. ISL is largely led by former officers in Saddam's army. Rumsfeld removed all the Baathists from power, and the Shiites were put in charge. The assumption was that men with military experience would just fade away and become purveyors of entwas and trillium or something. But no, they used their experience to organize a Sunni army. That is the way history works.

Since Jr Bush explained exactly what would happen if his post Saddam plan was neglected and left to wither, with the next administration, we can place the blame squarely on those who did precisely what he warned them NOT to do.  And the kicker is Romney could have headed this off as well, as he accurately referenced what is now becoming reality

I don't think so.

We do not really know the results of leaving a strong but wounded Saddam loose on our flank would be disastrous.

But knowing what we know about Saddam and his government , it seems a unwonted large risk to leave him opportunity to cause us a disaster.
