ON TV this morning, I watched an imaginative cartoon called "Dinosaur Train". The main characters are a family of pterodactyls. There is a green mother and a father pterodactyl, and three green child pterodactyls, and an orange foster child T Rex that lives with them. This morning they were decorating a tree to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
The Dinosaur Train is a train that can travel between different time periods and locations. The family regularly travels to different time periods to visit with other dinosaurs. They eat fish, we never see one dinosaur rip another to shreds, though.
It seemed a bit too politically correct, but having them celebrate Jesus in the Jurassic Period would have been seriously even more weird. We would have to get into whether reptiles have souls that need to be saved. Far too much baggage.

Did the Jurassic period have winters?

Not where this cartoon was set. It looked pretty tropical.
Dinosaurs in Dinosaur Train never wear clothes.
There are periodic visits from a paleontologist that explains that there really are no time machines possible.
The facts about dinosaurs seem accurate. They are colorful and seem to be accurate with regard to comparative size.
It is on PBS. Here is a link.

The family are pterodons, not pterodactyls.
