This is so terribly sad. All on paper, but of course those who never listened to begin with will find multiple ways to discredit or explain away the report.

Plane, if I read you correctly you are honing in on the etymology of the word apartheid, 'apartness'. The author of the report did cite the 1973 International Convention on the Supression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid. The definition of apartheid under that convention was "inhuman acts committed for the purpose of establishing and maintaining domination by one racial group of persons over any other racial group of persons and systematically oppressing them." So, I think there is no contradiction in terms here.
Sorry, I am departing on a weekend away so I will miss any rebuttal you may put forward until Monday.
