The Olympics was decided upon when Brazil was on a massive economic expansion.
The boom did not continue due to forces beyond Brazilian control.
No Olympics had ever been held in South America before. It was time to hold them on that continent.
If I were mayor of any city anywhere, I would not want the Olympics. Nearly all of them have been immense moneylosers.
I think they should pick one site for the Summer Olympics and another for the Winter Olympics and hold it in the same place forever.
Somewhere neutral, like Iceland or the Azores.

That is a good point.

Brazil is a fascinating place to visit, but this would be the wrong time to visit Rio because of the prices being much higher and the congestion being worse.
Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Florianopolis, Bahia (Salvador) would all be better places than Rio at present.
You have to dress like the natives and try to blend in in such places. Brazilians come in all colors, so this is more possible than, say, in Barbados or Hong Kong.

i think i'd like Japan....of all Asian women....
I think the Japanese are the most beautiful and look more sophisticated...less jungle woman

In English of course.
A measure of our influence.

Not that i seen any but judging by the porn japaness women tend to be least open minded of asians. Meaning least likely to date non-asains. Or other asians. Extremely xenophobic
Brazillian women are of almost infinate variety so you'll have aceasy time finding someone who you specificly thik is attractive.
Brazil is alot like russia youll find the love of your life but a very high chance you'll lose your bank account
-
Her name too tough for me to remember but look up tom brady wide she's brazillian. Perfect example of the variety of women in brazil

Lamentably for CU4, the word Japanese might have for him is gaijin, literally "smelly person".
The Japanese do not normally use deodorants, because they do not smell.
So if CU4 goes cruising in Nippon, he might need need to pack extra Right Guard.
-
"smelly person"
The hell with that....
That is a real pet-peeve with me.
There really is not much of an excuse to regularly stink if you live in the US.
Especially when you arrive at work...
Some Indians I have been around smell disgusting.
Part of it is probably body chemistry...
But I have zero patience for those that don't bathe and have horrid B.O.
people show up at work & you can tell they have not showered in over 24 hours
It's like "really?"
Showering is a joy...
he might need need to pack extra Right Guard
The ONLY deodorant I buy is Old Spice because it is one of the
ONLY ones that does not contain aluminum.

As a museum guard this is a complex issue. I know people who may of showered but the deodorant or perfume can be super bad. I encountered a flowery perfume that smelled nice but made me nauseous

And diet.
The traditional Japanese diet was heavily fish and vegetables.
An Indian Diet includes Curry , Cumin and other strong spices.
An American is prone to eat a lot of beef.
We smell strange to each other.

All because we are having a recession! ::)

When I lived in Mexico, I took the buses and streetcars every day.
Mexicans range from European to Mexican, and you can sort of tell by their features.
The 30¢ buses (then old converted US former school buses, populated by riders who cared about saving 20 centavos ( 1/5th of 8¢ US) were rarely as smelly as the fancier 50¢ buses. There were more standees on the cheaper buses, because that seats ran parallel to the sides of the bus, rather than in crosswise rows. Even with more arms raised on the cheaper buses you could tell the difference.
The streetcars were retired from Chicago. St Louis and Kansas City in the 1950's.
Poor Mexicans live on beans, corn, tortillas ans veggies. Richer ones eat more meat.
-
A richer diet does not make you smell better, or even live longer, as long as the minimums are met.
-
People get used to smells after regular exposure.
The classrooms at my university, where almost all the students were Black was never objectionable.
The foulest smelling school where I taught was at Thomas Stone HS in Waldorf, MD.
Westport-Ocosta HS in Washington State was pretty foul when the wind blew in from the Bay City Crab Dump. There was some sort of crab processing place that dumped their refuse there and it was always smoldering. It was a unique, but quite foul odor. The area got about 70 in of rainfall a year, but it was never enough to put out the smoldering crab dump.
Bay City consisted of about twenty houses. They said that there were once nearly 500 people living there, but the crab dump drove most of them away, they said.---

Do you believe in pheromones?
Not just that there is such a thing , but that human beings are using them ?

Do you believe in pheromones?
Not just that there is such a thing , but that human beings are using them ?
I see ads for men's colognes that are supposed to have pheromones in them. I see the same ads in every issue of Automobile magazine for three years, so they must be selling well enough to pay for the ads.
I assume that the cologne in question contains pheromones, but I have no lab in which to prove this.
I have noticed that I am attracted strongly to some women and that others repel me, and there is no obvious reason. Pheromones could well be the reason for this.
So I am inclined to believe in them.

Napoleon and Josephine were fastidious for their time in that they both took a long, hot, daily bath. But Napoleon wrote Josephine from a campaign, "I will return to Paris tomorrow evening. Don't wash."
I bet Napoleon would have erased that e-Mail.

If you notice mostly japanese and americans are the main complainers. The trait both have in common is obsessive hygiene. Not hygiene but obsessive hygiene. So highly likely it's not that people are smelly but that some folks have unhealthy obsession with smells.
I'm m guilty. I love my daily shower and i never wear the same cloths twice in a day . Now i cant stand strong perfumes. In europe i look but cant be close to attractive women. They get confuse why i keep a distance.
