what are the odds of buying a harmless purse in one country and using it in one of thee few countries which will greatly offend .

I heard a story about a guy that wore a t-shirt that had Phil Silvers (Seargent Bilko) on it in China and got some guff because Phill Silvers looks bit ike the Dali Lama.

I saw her on tv talking about wearing that shirt in china.
a guard I think asked her to take it off,but she had nothing underneath.
so she lifted it for a slipt second and the guard understood and asked to cross her arms for the day.

I can think of a way that she could not show the offending slogan and still not expose herself.
I guess neither she nor the guard was all that clever...

it sound like a spur of the moment thing and that would most likely be the only way to deal with that situation.
