Mofaz: Israel will not accept a nuclear-armed Iran.
All means of prevention legitimate
May 1, 2008, 1:06 PM (GMT+02:00)
The Israeli transport minister Shaul Mofaz, speaking at Yale University Tuesday night, April 30, on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, warned Iran may attain command of enrichment technology before the end of this year. He said: "Israel will not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. This time, the Jewish people won't let it happen. I would like to believe the world will not let it happen. To prevent this, all means are legitimate."
Israel's annual Holocaust remembrance ceremonies focused this year on the theme of courage displayed by Warsaw Ghetto Uprising leaders 65 years ago, knowing they were doomed. Israeli's president and prime minister laid wreaths in their honor at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Institute in Jerusalem.
Israelis stood in silence as sirens wailed for two minutes in remembrance of the victims of Nazi World War II genocide, two-thirds of Europe's nine million Jews. Cafes and places of entertainment were closed and TV and radio broadcast special programs.
In Sderot, memorial ceremonies took place in a new, fortified social center under relentless Palestinian missile fire from Gaza - nine by midday Thursday.
And in Poland, Israel's chief of staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi led the March of Life from the gates of the former Auschwitz concentration camp to Birkenau. He was joined by 12,000 people from 52 countries. In a short speech, the general noted that the world had stood aside when the Nazis murdered the Jews of Europe.
Avram Grant, the British Chelsea football team's Israeli coach, whose mother was a Holocaust survivor, joined the procession.

How can they? If a memo with a sentence about the possibility of the chance that passenger jets could be used as missiles and flown into tall building is enough to accuse the Bush administration of gross negligence, how can Israel be expected to ignore an open threat of nuclear war? Will the terrorist enablers complain about an Israeli preemptive strike in order to save themselves from nuclear annihilation?
Of course they will. We'll learn that the facility destroyed by the Israelis was a milk factory with employees made up entirely of women and children.

When Jerusalem is a sheet of glass, you guys are going to cry like little babies, aren't you?

The Israeli transport minister...
LOL
Is anyone allowed to talk it up these days?
I'd think that he'd be more concerned if Palestinians are driving on the Israeli-only roads! <gasp>

How much is this simular to President Kennedy haveing no tolerance for a nuclear Cuba?
-
Plane: <<How much is this simular to President Kennedy haveing no tolerance for a nuclear Cuba?>>
I'm not anti-Israel but I would like to see more jaw jaw and less war war.
And who is Israel going to get to fight their wars? My kids? All purpose bullet sponges, made in the USA. Disgusting.

Recently they saved their own lives by a bombing of a Syrian nuclear facility. Seems to have been as clean as such a thing could possibly could be done.
It is like the line from "Goldfinger" "Do you expect me to talk?" "No Mr Bond I expect you to die."
If Isreal were to determine that they would do nothing but talk , takeing no hostile action anywhere , they would be demolished in a matter of months.

What leads you to that conclusion? Why is violence the only solution?
I seem to recall their violent solution in Lebanon of 2006 becoming a real disaster. In fact, Israel fared poorly in many of their incursions into Lebanon.

In what way?

from Ha'aretz:
"Senior U.S. administration officials stressed during meetings last week in Washington with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that President George Bush does not intend at this stage to present guidelines of his own for resolving the core issues of an Israeli-Palestinian permanent peace agreement. An American official who met with Abbas in Washington said that the latter was deeply disappointed by the administration's unwillingness to pressure Israel on this issue."

In what way?
Politically (Ok that is probably true.)
Militarily ( No way, the Hezbolla was harmed and exausted , that was a good thing for them to be.)
Internationally (I don't understand that one)
Regionally (or this one)

I might. So you'll be celebrating??

Iran is not going to nuke Israel, not now because it has nothing to do it with, not in the future because it has nothing to gain from this. Any nuclear strike on Israel would kill more Muslims than Israel does.
This is simply overboard rhetoric. Israel will tolerate whatever it has to, as does ever other nation. Preemptory attacks are no valid unless a sure desruction of the weapons without a large loss in human life can be assured.

Not in the least. But I won't be surprised.

Guys, the Israeli Transport Minister...Transport Minister!
Who gives a shit what this guy has to say? I'd be surprised if the Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister (or equivalent) aren't taking him out behind the woodshed for speaking outside of his portfolio. This is someone who has no idea what he's talking about completely speaking out of his ass. In many Governments or Private Sector firms you'd be fired for doing something like that.
He was excited about the Holocaust memorial remembrances and probably emotional as well.
On a sidenote, I find it rather funny (not the humorous funny, mind you) that Israel throws these lavish memorials for the Holocaust, yet the holocaust victims living in Israel had to sue the Government to get their very humble state payments.

You implied it would be funny to see us cry. Pretty twisted Brass. I wonder if you'd think it was funny if we laughed while you cried about a death in your family?

Who gives a shit what you have to say? At least he's a government official. You the fuck are you?
