Wearing those diapers seems to enforce the idea that there was a lot of premeditation.

I think you are right ,but, this seems like a very low quality of premeditation.

This highly educated person was vetted by our government to be dependable and sane hen she jined the Astronaught program.

Can there be mitigation in an insanity defese if an authoity on the subject finds her behavior to be cause by disease?

There are two principled choices for the criminal justice system in processing the passion-crime of the female astronaut: either she should be treated like everybody else, or everybody else should be treated with the solicitude she receives.

I read something about this yesterday - apparently astronauts in space where adult diapers during the entire mission, and it was plausible that she had some stashed in the cupboard.

But still really, really weird.

http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/61010/a-wild-ride

We've seen a lot of strange searches since Buzz first landed. But "astronaut diapers" is definitely a new one. Yet, that's just one search among many in the peculiar tale of space-age love, lunacy, and felony charges that has planted its flag at the very top of the Search box.

On Monday, NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy captain Lisa Marie Nowak (+1,649%) appeared in Florida after driving all night from Texas—a ride that employed the aforementioned bathroom aid. There, she donned a disguise and violently confronted U.S. Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman (+1,631%), a woman she saw as a rival for the affections of space shuttle pilot William Oefelein (+937%). Now, Nowak faces charges of attempted kidnapping and murder, NASA (+333%) grapples with questions about astronauts' psychological screening, and Search has absorbed a planet's worth of buzz.

Besides the astonishing spikes in the names of this Tang-flavored love triangle, we logged out-of-this-atmosphere surges for "astronaut" (+1,536%), "kennedy space center" (+796%), and "international space station" (+200%). Meanwhile, interest in "astronaut arrest," "kidnapping," and "love triangle" has joined "diapers" as never-before-glimpsed queries blasting upwards in Buzz.

it`s pretty bad
in the radio quite afew talk shows are talking about that only a woman would crack and that they shouldn`t be astronauts to begin with.

which is alittle strange
nasa in the fifties did a promo thing and put females in training
but the result`s got buried real fast
turns out these ladies out scored the real astronauts
seems females are more suited for this kinda of work.
this may ruin it for future women thinking of trying
