Obama/Hillary or Hillary/Obama?
« on: March 07, 2008, 05:33:10 PM »
IF, the 2 were to make a "dream ticket" what would truely make it dreamy?  Hillary on top or Obama?.  IMHO, Hillary kills their chances, but if Obama is on top, with Hillary as VP, that "might" swing it

Thoughts?

I think that this race is going to be close no matter what the final tickets end up as.  I've stated before that I have a real preference for Richardson, and I would prefer to see him as a VP nominee, more so than either Clinton or Obama.  I've also stated that the way things are shaking out now, I'd lean more toward voting for McCain.  My dream ticket would be McCain/Richardson, but that ain't gonna happen!  Speaking for me personally, I think that a Hillary/Obama ticket would kill their chances of my vote, I'm not very wild about either one.  Depending who the presidential nominee was, I think an Obama/Hillary ticket would stand a better chance than a Hillary/Obama ticket, by bringing out more young and black voters.  Just my thoughts.

If Richardson ends up as a VP nominee, I'm probably going to have a heck of a time trying to decide who to vote for.

If Obama gets the nomination, I think he would make a mistake to choose Clinton as his running mate. On the other hand, I think if Clinton got the nomination, she would almost need to choose Obama.

Obama is out to prove he is a different kind of politician, bringing change, and adding Clinton to his ticket would be about 180 degrees counter to that image. She represents the old establishment.

Clinton, on the other hand, tries to keep the appearance of being an agent of change in touch with the people, something she has had trouble doing. Obama on her ticket would go along way towards helping her.

I think Obama should not partner with Clinton either way. He ought to stick to his guns, imo.
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

Agreed, though as both I and Fat have opined, such a latter ticket would likely be doomed to failure.  ESPECIALLY if by the time we get to the Democrat convention, and Obama has the majority of delegates, but following a bunch of smokefilled backroom meetings, all of a sudden, Hillary's the nominee.  Talk about some major disenfranchising of voters

Now, if we could actually get him to elaborate on some specifics to this "change", rather than repeating the term, every other sentence

Stranger things have happened Fat.  They both share a similar position on immigration & tax policy I believe.  Both are fairly well versed in both foreign policy and military matters.
