By then, she will have lost her usefulness as a distraction from Obama's historic campaign and she will become a boat anchor. Not only that, the convention will be far behind them and their numbers will be dropping like said anchor and McCain will be free to cut her loose and drop in who he wanted all along (Joe Leiberman) without having to worry about minor nuisances like delegates or conventions and the like.
Right now, she is serving her purpose. Drawing attention away from Obama and the nation's agreement that he is the acknowledged president-to-be plus she's allowing you righties to rally and work from a defensive stance (which is what you love: playing the victim [see: "war on christmas", "angry white man syndrome", "crybabies who want prayer in school", and all your other victimhoods]) but your true nature is bullying (crystalized to perfection in the persona of "W") and that is where you guys will default to next week once you think that Palin's drip,drip,dripping is over.
Right now, everything is "Oh, wah! They're picking on a woman!" (which is a lie) but that BS plays thin real quick. She's in the public eye, she's running for the Number Two seat of power in the world, she's going to have to toughen up and you guys are going to have to stop playing crybabies in about a week. (It's already pathetic but the whole country hasn't heard your crybaby BS yet, it takes time for it to filter down and be analyzed by those who don't read blogs every day.)
Palin is damaged goods already but her mission hasn't been fully accomplished yet but it will be by about the 12th of September. It will help that you guys will already be up to saying "9/11" in every sentence and putting Giuliani on every show. That will distract some from her re-assignment back to BFE.
