Somalia was a good intention that simply turned out wrong due to unforeseen circumstances.

I agree that it would have been better off not having started in the first place but only if the turnout had also been known in advance.

There are many reasons why intervention in Haiti was a valid cause and why not intervening in Cote d'Ivoire was not a valid one, and hypocrisy has nothing to do with either. All the blathering that sirs can muster cannot make Haiti an African country.

Bin Laden would not have changed one thing as a result of this. It was a propaganda coup for him, perhaps, but it did not advance his actual cause by any significant amount.

Clinton made the simular mistake in Somilia that Reagan made in Lebanon, better to complete the job at great cost if necessacery, but best to have never started a job that couldn't be justified.

Osama Bin Laden has used these incidents as the foundation of his arguement that his movement can acheive success, if he didn't have this he would have had to find some other foundation for "The Base".

Somalia was a good intention that simply turned out wrong due to unforeseen circumstances....There are many reasons why intervention in Haiti was a valid cause and why not intervening in Cote d'Ivoire was not a valid one, and hypocrisy has nothing to do with either

It absolutely does.  When its a President with a D after their name, its a reasonable and rational decision.  When its with an R, then its obviously racist in nature, and the wrong decision.  Can't be any clearer than that....especailly in watching Xo rationalize both Clinton's & Xo's interventions vs not

All the blathering that sirs can muster cannot make Haiti an African country.
