Labor unions serve a useful function.

I have never seen a labor union serve a useful function. I can agree, I have heard they did once, in the past, but all my personal dealings with them have simply shown me how badly they manage to screw things up nowadays.

ha...the Tea Party's fault!
western governments have made incredible, unrealistic promises to their citizens
and have taken on incredible debts in hopes of paying for them. The only way to
pay these debts is with debased, devalued paper money.

What do the Koch Brothers have to do with the Tea Parties?

Is their influence less than greater than or equal to influence of George Soros on the Dems?

The Koch Brothers funded at least one of the Tea Parties. They have been funding reactionary politics for decades.

And they have been a bigger influence than Soros.

In five years, the Tea Parties will have the same influence as Ross Perot does today.

   That would be major!

Ross Perot allowed Bill Clinton to twice win election as president with less than 50% of the vote both times.

This is the one thing I don't think good about the tea party, the potential for deviding the Republican vote.

Of course my favoriate solution would be for the standard stalwart Republicans to stand down , the public is pretty disapointed with the plain vanilla standard Republicans, being marginally better than the Incumbant makes a  hardly satisfying choice.

If the Tea Party ran their own candidate, Obama would be reelected for sure.

Then, just like Perot, they would fade from the scene in some stupid feud, just like the Reform Party did, with Buchanan vs. whomever that other guy was, fighting over money from the feds.
I hope they do run their own candidate.
