The American people do not want another war in the Middle East.
This country has no moral authority to invade Syria.

If the President were to send troops tomorrow, he would get nothing but criticism from these same morons.
If he were to announce that he would not sent troops, he would get the same result.

There will be no one-country strategy to defeat to thwart ISIS, and it is presently unclear who proper allies would be.

That is certainly true.

If there are any people who might be good friends to Americans in that mess they are probably the first to get shot.

The American people are sick of war and sick of the Middle East.

The US cannot physically destroy ISIS without some sort of serious action.

ISIS is very unpopular and likely to become even more so,

Waitifg for allies to join in a common effort, and waiting for everyone to see what monstrers ISIS  is seems like reasonable strategy to me.
