There are Arabians on both sides of this conflict, so far only one side considers being American a crime worthy of beheading.

Dogboy.

True, but beheading is barbaric no matter what the reason is.

That is a matter of perspective.

If an execution is necessary , what is less barbaric?

Dropping bombs on them is pretty gory, and we are doing that pretty steadily.

Televised beheadings are far more barbaric as propaganda.

Oh , as propaganda I do see a difference, yes.

But to execute our enemies with maverick missiles is not kindness either, the propaganda aspect is the main difference.

The lesser difference is that we are making an effort to avoid killing people we do not need to, but since our stand off is so long we must fail at preventing collateral damage to some degree, this is a lesser difference.

That Isis isn't making any effort to sort its enemies from the innocent is a difference , but a very small difference , since this is the behavior we expect of them.

The thing is that ISIS is doing the beheadings mostly to demonstrate to their recruiting base that they are the baddest asses on the block and fear nothing, not even the US and the UK.

The Saudis try people before religious courts, torture them to confess and execute them for sorcery, witchcraft, adultery and perhaps finding Jeezus.

I wonder exactly what a person might do to be convicted of sorcery or witchcraft.
