I reject the proposition that Reagan simplified the tax code. And he has been dead for along time, and lots of loopholes have been written since 1988 anyway.

Reagan pushed for simplification and achieved some success.
Might have been more success if it were not that the people responsible for writing tax law are in the class that benefits of loopholes.
