White priviledge glasses.

The right wing suffers from an inability to see the world through the eyes of  others.

Silly to say that the right wing suffers so , as if the entire right wing were white and the entire left were not.

I have had this experience two different ways, as a kid being given leadership for no particular reason when I was the white one , then as a young adult visiting several African ports.

There is no mistaking that this is a real phenomenon , it is a lot more evident if you can manage to get on both sides of it.

This is not so much about right or left, it is about Black and White.

Life is always a Rorschach-test.
Try to watch this video before reading the article and thus knowing the spoiler.

Think about what the video really seems to be, to your own perception, then look at how widely different the perception is between different points of view.

The cops had no reason to ask this woman for an ID.
There is a small par down the street from where I live, and I frequently walk there. There is nio sidewalk, so I walk on the street. I don't anything but my MP3, because there is no legal need for me to have an ID with me then.

No one has ever stopped me.

What the frell are you smoking?  Putting aside the egregious false accusation she made about "racist cops",  an officer has every reason, right, and legal obligation to ask ANYONE they pull over for ID

It's one of the primary reasons an officer attempts to confirm you are who you say you are.....in case of any outstanding warrants for your arrest.

That doesn't mean you have to carry one.  It merely means that if you get pulled over or stopped by an officer, you best have ID on you, or expect to be "processed" for an extended period of time, until the officers can confirm who you are.

They had a reason that would have stood in court, misdemeanor traffic violation.

When they figured out that she was not a danger nor in danger they asked her to stay on the left and left her alone.

I have had this sort of thing happen , it is not comfortable , but it is pretty ordinary.

Cops have better things to do than annoy people walking in the street.

Finding out what is going on is a legitimate use of a policeman's time.

If you were doing something that you did not know was dangerous , and a policeman told you to do it a safer way, without issuing a ticket , would you feel the need to record his badge number?

And not only was this woman, not walking the street, she was speeding, which is an absolute requirement that the police attempt to stop the crime and find out who this person is that was committing a crime

It's going to be nice to clean up so many of these bogus racist accusations, with the use of these cameras
