Give Them the Vatican?

In the spirit of Jonathan Swift, but more seriously, I propose that the Roman Catholic Church, the titular legatee of Christ and the acts supposedly done in His name, make a binding offer to either the Israelis or the Palestinians -- whoever deems fit to accept the offer -- to transfer the Vatican lands, lock, stock and barrel, to the respective entity opting to accept as part of a "land for peace" third-party contract to begin to settle the world's worst conundrum once and for all on fair and respectful footing. The Catholics (and Christians at large) can enter there own Diaspora as atonement, or else settle on a less grand seat of virtue ... perhaps South Bend?

We have to trade Rome for Indiana? Northern Indiana even?

At least give us a city with history and tradition. American cities are so...new.

I have been to the Vatacan , it is beautifull but wouldn't support many refugees.

The problem isn't land , of which there is plenty , but that particular land which there is little of.
