The shoot-out comes on the anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo mission in San Antonio in March 1836.

The Mexicans eventually overwhelmed the tiny Texan force there, but the delay cost them the war.

This is historically inaccurate. The Mexicans lost entirely because of Santa Anna's monumental incompetence. Houston simply caught him one morning when he was hung over after a night's debauchery.

So, you're saying that the Alamo was not taken by the Mexicans????

Santa Anna rose to power in Mexico and regained power one more time than he lost it.

Who in Mexico was more competant?
