She is slowly sinking into the sunset. She may be given a chance to speak at the 2012 GOP convention, perhaps at 1:00 AM. The odds are against her speaking at all in 2016.

Will she be as famous by the time she dies as Geraldine Ferrara was?

Possibly, but the odds are against it.

She was elected governor, and quit in order to peddle a mediocre book that she was unable to write herself. Then she has a second mediocre book written.
She ran for VP and lost.
Many Republicans think her nomination was a mistake.
Her daughter won  a dance contest.
She milked her celebrity for all it was worth.
