Landslide: Florida Newt 50! Mitt 19
« on: December 02, 2011, 01:52:25 AM »
According to the latest American Research Group poll.

Florida is solid for Newt.  There are three polls out now showing Newt with 47 to 50% support in Florida.

I like the idea (my own) of a Newt/Kasich ticket. But if Kasich can't do it due to obligations to Ohio, who else on the GOP side could run with Newt that would reinforce the good economy of the 90's?

No one but you are the far right gives Newt credit for this. They don't have diddly. There is no way to make the Newtster less obnoxious. But he will be easier to beat than Romney in the national election.

Reagan couldn't bring back the 50's and Newt will not bring back the '90's. No one can bring back the past, that is just stupid.

Most of this country is conservative. So if conservatives give Newt credit for this as you said, it is enough to win. Newt is only going to need 45% to beat Obama.

Newt does deserve a lot of credit for the good economy of the 90's. It was mostly the American people. But he helped give them the tools to succeed. He dragged Clinton kicking and screaming to sign the Contract with America.

The Contract with America was a set of items that the Newt got the Republicans to promise to bring to a vote in Congress. Not all of them even got through Congress, and it was NOT a single bill that Clinton signed.

Clinton signed 7 of the 10 items in the Contract.

If Newt runs on the successes of the 90's, I bet Clinton will say some positive things to undercut Obama.

I don't think Clinton likes Obama much.

So, yeah, Clinton wants Gingrich to win, because he has a thing for the Newtster and wants him to take over.

Sure.

Does Clinton want his own accomplishments to be well remembered?
Clinton never got anywhere untill he learned to co-operate with the Congress.
