Obama will lose to whichever GOP candidate runs.

Unless unemployment is below 7.

Then it will be a dogfight.

Paul would lose bigtime. So would Sanctimonious Santorum, The Newster and the Mittster as well.

The Mittster claims that he wants to LOWER taxes and pay the debt. How does that work? Voodoo Economics! Is there a Mormon version of Voodoo Economics.

It turns out that Rubio was baptized as a Mormon when he was eight. Then he was an evangelical, and now he claims to be a Catholic.

But he won't be running.

Combine the Owwies with the tea party and what do you get?

A majority.

It's really not even a debate-able point that lower taxes spurns economic
activity which will increase gvt revenue. See JFK if you still doubt reality.

Ron Paul would not carry more than a handful of states
and Obama loads the Supreme Court for the next 4 years.

I think i read somewhere that Paul is in second place with the delegate count for the nomination.

And he certainly is a Christian4lessGvt. Surprised you don't support him.

Lowering taxes to increase revenues only works to a certain degree. If taxes are below a certain point, then lowering them more will simply lower revenue.

This is the Laffer curve argument. If taxes were at the rate they were when JFK took office in 1960, it could work. But they aren't. Romney is simply blowing smoke.

Ron Paul is clearly the one who favors the LEAST government. Maybe even less than Jesus wanted. (Assuming that Jesus actually had an opinion other than that the Romans should leave, perhaps. I agree that Paul would not defeat Obama. But neither will any of the others.

The Owwies and the Tea Party are both relatively small in number, and they are unlikely to join forces. If you did, it would not be any sort of majority.

I'm sure Carter was thinking and believing the same thing

BT I honestly can't waste my vote on someone that
in my mind has zero chance of winning.

A very large segment of Americans are too spoiled to accept
Ron Paul "pulling away the gvt tit they are used to sucking".
The leeches & Leftist are strong enough to prevent a President Paul.
It's just realistic reality.

So I don't wanna help re-elect Obama.
We can not chance more Sotomayors & Kagans.

Plus unless we become super isolationist (which I'd be ok with).
I think Ron Paul's withdrawl of the US being a military superpower
is dangerous.

The issue that both Paul & Romney have going against them is that they both have trashed, in 1 way or another, social conservatives, and positions they've held.  (which surprises me that Bt would be pushing for a more socially conservative candidate vs a fiscal one.)  Point being that I agee that anyone of the GOP could beat Obama.  It's the GOP election to lose.........which if they aren't smart, and try playing the abortion game, is a good push in that direction.  merely focus on Obama's and the Dem's record to date, and highlight who the real "party of no" is

That said, I would have a VERY hard time pulling the lever for a President Paul, not because he couldn't beat Obama, but more so, what a Paul Presidency would bring to our Foreign Policy making, which I'd opine could be disastrous.  But if the Domestic #'s continue to plummet, be it gas price increases, more debt, more unemployment, more consumer confidence degrading, Cu4 could win the Presidency.  As i said, it's the GOP's to lose, and I'll support whoever the GOP nominee is....even...*gasp*...Paul

He's nearly as socially conservative as Santorum.  It kinda gets missed with all the ruckus about his supposed Anti-Reagan, ethically challanged era

I'd put Newt closer to Paul than Santorum.

from least to most
Paul
Newt
Romney
Santorum

Your mileage may vary
