Travel is the best part of my Navy experience.
The Caribbean is delightful to the eye and ear.
Africa is loaded with the interesting and strange.
Europe is packed with history and art.

I would go back to Panama, Kenya , Italy and Spain Bermuda , Bahamas and Puerto Rico on any slight excuse.

Skip Sudan , it might be interesting , but it isn't safe.

I haven't traveled much in recent years, perhaps in my next phase of life.

I would feel safe in some parts of Mexico. Not Juarez or Michoacan, but in the parts where the drug mafia does not rule. All the tourist destinations: Acapulco, Cancun, Merida, the Yucatan are safe. Mexico City is vast, and if you do not look like a tourist, you can easily blend in.

House of Cards has been hard for me to get interested in. The acting is good, it is the story that is rather muddled and uninteresting.Perhaps I was not in the mood.

Tacking back towards the point of the topic, I also feel sorry for the GOP, and the citizenry as well, in that given the current circumstances surrouding this President, his policies, the mounthing threat of ISIS, the mounting dysfunction of federal agencies, like the CDC, and the Democrat owned Unaffordable Care Act, which completely dismantled this country's health system, while increasing premiums and unnecessary add-ons to new policies.....given all that, if the GOP can't win back the Senate, its a sad state of affairs for not just the GOP, but the country as a whole.

2012 was a Republican Presidential race to lose.  Obama didn't win, the GOP ran a poor campaign and lost it.  Literally grasping a loss from the jaws of victory  Yes, there was the MSM in Obama's back pocket, and Candy Crowly bailing out the President in a nationally televised debate, but the Romney camp lost their focus, and allowed the MSM & the left to portray him as someone who's....just the same as Obama, out of touch with normal run of the mill Americans.

It is absolutely possible that Republicans could do the same thing in 2014....take a winning formula of complete and utter disatisfaction with the Democrat policies that have been implimented, and start to get distracted in trying to defend social issues of gay marriage, abortion, and minimum wage.  All are perfectly valid issues, but the focus needs to be on what's currently happening in this country, and WHY we're having all these issues.  And hint, it's not that the GOP isn't helping, or even compromising.  In fact, the left has no clue what compromise is.  Stay focused, and on topic.....debt, economy, job market, exponential growth in government & bureaucracy....and OBAMACARE

SIRS the GOP will pick up seats in BOTH Houses
of Congress in the 2014 elections and most likely re-take the Senate.
We will then control 2 of 3 branches of Gvt.
Which might mean we can slow down the destruction
of our country the Democrats are trying to pull off.

2010 effectively stopped the Democrat reign of destruction.....though the damage was already done
2014 if what you say comes to fruition, will send a message that the country is fed up with these socialist-like policies and piss poor leadership

What the GOP absolutely needs to have in place are specific plans, and bills, passed, and sitting on Obama's desk, for the next 2 years.  Let him veto them willy nilly, but the arguement can no longer be credibly made that the GOP is the party of no.  Perhaps a calling card of the "Party of no more" would work

]The Republican'ts do stupid stuff.

Really stupid stuff.

Like mongering wars.

Obama won the elections both times, because McCain was a fool, Palin was a dunce, Romney was a fatcat, and Ryan was a crypto Fascist.

Your opinion of "mongering" is pretty limited to your predisposition of simply not liking war, and judging purely on a partisan basis.  Demowon'ts monger just as many wars, but apparently get a pass, since they have the correct letter after their name.  There's a vast and credible amount of justification for the recent wars in Iraq, that you continue to callously ignore, but no surprise there.  And what made those wars pertinent, was that we gave ourselves clear objectives, the means to achieve those objectives, and didn't hold back, even if it wasn't politically savvy.  Can't be said of what the hell we're currently doing in Iraq & Syria, now can it

The root cause of what is happening in Iraq is a direct result of Juniorbush's stupid war and the utter incompetence of how it was fought.

No, the root cause is islamic-fascism, beling allowed to grow unchecked, due to a perverted sense of Political Correctness.  It had been checked, to a degree under, Bush.  Now it's being allowed to mutate into a regional virus, thanks to present policy

Do you think that the Muslim Brotherhood has reasonable demands?

  How about IS?
