Most of them came in automobiles fueled by oil, wearing clothing made from oil,
to protest oil, in kayaks made from oil. Then they tweeted their photos on phones
made from oil and drove home.

There is no irony in this at all.


If all we did was make kayaks and plastics from oil,  the world would be better off.
The problem is when we BURN the oil in vast quantities and pollute the planet.

If all we used oil for was making plastics, fracking would not be necessary and Oklahoma would not be the earthquake capital of the country.
