Not the case in any of the other nations that have universal health care.

Obamacare is not perfect, it is just the best thing they could get through Congress at the time. Now it needs to be improved.

There is a lawyerly mistake made in Obamacare , it is ten times as long as it needs to be, and would be twice as good if it were half as complex.

What would have been wrong with a bill that only improved access to healthcare to the poor, and another bill that only reduced the obstacles of prior conditions?

Yes , or subsidize it better.

And of the two I consider "making it cheaper" the superior .

We pay too much for health care at nearly every level. Insurance companies add a profit margin to nearly every level, especially because they have an incentive to do so,

When you are in an accident or having a heart attack, you cannot shop around. Hospitals do not post or even reveal their rates. That is why the government needs to set maximum rates.
