I guess whatever absurdity you were trying to express this time was too inconsequential to bother explaining.  That's OK sirs.  Happens to all of us.

It didn't require explaining to the rational minded.  But since you're the one inquiring, it's specific that apologies are rarely sent in the direction of Bush, or Republicans, or Conservatives, or Christians, regardless of how completely irrational, rude, uncivil, asanine the rhetoric is.  NOT that they aren't accepted, they're just rarely forthcoming.

Again, welcome to the land of free speech, where you can rake politicians and celebrities over the coals rhetorically and never require an apology to follow.  Poll being irrelevent

<< . . . it's frequently repelled when aimed at Bush, Republicans, Christians, and/or Conservatives>>

means to me that the apology when aimed at Bush et al. is frequently repelled.  Meaning rejected by Bush et al. when offered.

Or maybe you just don't understand the meaning of "repelled."

I am all for Stark sticking to what he said.

Juniorbush could give a sh*t about children.

He stupidly mongered a stupid and unnecessary war and he  is the one who should apologize.

He and Cheney and Rumsfeld should grovel before us abjectly, begging forgiveness for their stupidity and blatent incompetence.

It couldn't hurt to send him a tiny (or larger, if you can afford) donation to show how you feel. Emails are nice, dollars are better.

And maybe you still haven't figured out the point, even after explaining it to you as if explaining it to a 3rd grader in the preceding point

Hey it's not my fault that you have poor communication skills.  Maybe a remedial writing course would help.  Then again, maybe not.

I care what he's saying right now.  It definitely needed to be said.

Starks comments are irrelevant other than it spotlights the immature mean spirited pettiness of those who don't get their way.

Mean spirited pettiness is not an attitude one takes when people are dying because of the stupidity and incompetence of our Fearless Leader, who successfully defended both Texas and Alabama from Vietnamese invasion, but whose victories in action have been quite sparse since then.

Stark echoed the sentiments of over half the nation.
We want the Iraq War to end, and we want it to end NOW.
We want people to stop dying, and we want to stop paying for it.

Stark said Bush sends troops to Iraq to get their heads blown off for his personal amusement. I doubt you nor over 50% of the american public believes that.

If you and they do, we are in sorrier shape than I , in my most cynical moments, ever suspected.

I can see why Stark owes no one an apology. After all, he said what he did on the floor of the House, did he not?

There have been far worse things said upon the House and Senate floor. There are people in this very forum who love Joe McCarthy and felt he did nothing wrong. Yet, he and his House counterpart used the immunity of speaking on the floor of the Senate to absolutely destroy lives.

Stark did nothing approaching that. He simply vented frustration in an all-too human manner. We know that Dick Cheney does that on occasion as well, and I'd say Stark is far more eloquent when angry than Uncle Dick.

He doesn't seem to me to owe anyone an apology. If the people in his district think he went too far, they'll have an opportunity to express that view in 2008.
