The raid, the soldiers say, proved there will be no safe haven in Afghanistan for terrorists. As for the medals, the soldiers see them as emblems of teamwork and brotherhood. Not valor

My god, Bucky. Wow.
You know, survival and luck, coupled with an absolute demand to live and make it, along with pure bravery, speaks volumes for our human nature, doesn't it?

The writer of this article took me to that cliff. .. . what an account.

Every drop of blood and every sacrifice of heart in any war deserves to be rewarded. I am sure those soldiers will be humble about receiving such a medal.

I suppose those who don't understand what it's like to fight and struggle through something.....whether for a country or a child in the classroom, such rewards, or praise mean squat.

That's too bad. There are moments in our lives when we must applaud the human being for sacrifice and hard work, lest we become void of compassion and gratitude.

I celebrate the human spirit everytime I read or hear of such stories.

Your story is indeed one of those to be celebrated as well, Bucky.
