it's obvious we should ban paying for meals at registers....most restaurants have already done this  ::)

Obviously, this  incompetent gun owner is to blame for people getting shot in Chicago.

Naaa..that would be the illegally gun carrying thugs killing people in mass, in regions that have the strictest gun control laws in the country.....in other words, still more laws would do squat to prevent murder & shootings.  There is no law against stupidity however, and never will be.  (cues the 3rd grade insult now)

I really do not think that this was caused by anyone paying at the register. Nearly every fast food place in the country requires this.

Once again the most important facts are absent.

What type of gun is this?

Why did the safety fail?

This sort of accident should only happen with antiques, modern guns should be more dependable.

Whatever brand this is, deserves a severe ding on its reputation.

It is pretty clear that if this fool had not brought the gun into the restaurant, no one would have been harmed.

What's pretty clear is that its not about the gun, but about the person handling the gun

The person who should never been allowed to carry the gun with him in the first place.

I do note that you seem to want to blame the gun. I agree that a gun should not go off when dropped.

It is pretty clear that if an ambulance was not on the street,
that ambulances would never get in rare traffic accidents,
and no one would be harmed in rare ambulance traffic accidents.

The person who should never been allowed to carry the gun with him in the first place.

And what law would have prevented that??

I do note that you seem to want to blame the gun.

And where do you get that, since I made no such inference??

Which only reinforces that I wasn't blaming the gun.      ::)

You can always use reinforcement.

But i don't think it should be difficult to make a gun that does not fire when dropped.
