In theory, yes

mccain brought up how problematic polarization is hurting our country ,but still people are not addressing it today.

The problem is how politicans are going to use "polarization" as a means to criticize, and by extension, stifle dissenting speech.  Likely proclaim it as hate speech.  Governor Brown now is declaring how the current polarization is as bad as the civil war.  So, who are the Union folk and who are the Confederates?

The bigger question is whether one is in charge of their decision making process or are they reactionaries to how a Trump or Brown spins an issue.

Close.  Its in watching and determining how much control Government needs to apply to "decrease" said polarization

polarization is hurting our country

what is the alternative to polarization?
pretend we all agree?....we dont agree!
its not reality
huge segments of the US population very much disagree on how this country should be run
there is no tooth fairy thats gonna come along and make those very opposites suddenly agree
thats what politics and policy making is....making tough decisions that people disagree about
i dont admire "fence sitters"...it's easy to not stake a position..and be wishy-washy...thats not admirable in my mind

btw....parties mean nothing....issues mean everything

I don't believe the govt has the constitutional authority to mandate civility.

why would party be important to anyone with a brain?
like someone would vote party over issues?
sorry....i cant understand that
what kind of half-wit would vote for a party they disgreed with on the issues?

Sometimes ego gets in the way of common sense.

Here's an example.

Did Boehner win or lose this last budget conference?

I don't believe they had the constitutional authority to establish & mandate SS or Medicare either

And so it starts

Nothing unconstitutional about banning all signs in public places. Ifthey ha just banned tea party signs they would have a problem.

Of course, because that's obviously what I was referring to, the notion of only banning 1 side     ::)
