I doubt it. He beat her because he ran to the left of her and the netroots were engaged.

So Obama was given the chance because folks didn't want McCain at the wheel and were ready for a change from the GOP?

Did he beat Hillary because he was black or did he beat her because she was a: a Clinton or b: a woman?

or did he beat her because he out hustled her.

yup indeed.

if you look at the big picture it was his blackness.

But I am like 100% convinced he wouldn't have even been in the race if he was white
Hillary would be President....and be a hell of alot better

Well we agree that Hillary would be doing a better job, but Obama's personality is such that he would have been in the race regardless of color. But i do think he would have garnered greater scrutiny.

Kid Glove Treatment = Affirmative Action

Many avoided criticism because they didn't want to be labeled RACIST which means his blackness played in his favor not against him. And I don't believe our country is a racist country.

Yeah and howard dean loved him a pick up truck when he was in tennessee. It's called mirroring. oldest trick in the sales book.
and politics is nothing if it isn't sales.

Being as I heard Obama speak at a Black university, and did not notice any obvious change in the way he spoke, I imagine that you just heard it somewhere and have been repeating it ever since. He used the term "brothers" to refer to other Black people, that is all I noticed.

It is not illegal or even deceptive to change one's accent when talking to people who speak the same way. Actors do this all the time. It is simply a talent that some have and others do not.

yeah sure lets watch Bush (in the 04 election) go to the NAACP and try that one. And who implied it was illegal? What a moron you are!

So there's a couple people here that don't believe Obama played the card card in 2008. Well, a search brought up this little jewel. I think this might refresh some memories.

Obama used race card to win election 2008

actually what I remember the most about his campaign is that race was not brought up til later on . in fact his most visible problem was getting the black vote since he wasn`technically black. in fact it was hinted his ancestors may of been slave owners.

it was a very colorful campaign
