Richardson is better qualified than any of you are to make this call.

And what call is that?  That the Hispanic Cruz, born to a Cuban immigrant, really isn't Hispanic??     :o

You are free to believe that Cruz is Hispanic if you so desire. Richardson does not so desire, and he has the right to do so.

Perhaps the proper term is "Tío Taco". But Cruz is not Mexican, and tacos are not Cuban food. What is, is simply a guy that spouts 'baggerisms and has a Spanish last name who was financed by the Kochs and other Koch-suckers to be the GOP Token Hispanic".

If you think that somehow Cruz are going to attract a majority of Hispanics to vote for him for national office, you are dead wrong. The same is true for Rubio. Cruz was born in Canada, so he won't be running for Pres. or VP, anyway.

Cruz is obviously a 'bagger first and a Hispanic second. He is pretty much Hispanic in the same sense that "Uncle" Clarence Thomas is a Black man.

Richardson is better qualified than any of you are to make this call.

Exactly!

You cannot be either Black nor Hispanic without the permission of whatever Democrat is present to make that call.

Cruz is clearly more of an asshole-American than a Hispanic American.

According to the US Government, no.

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget currently defines "Hispanic or Latino" as "a person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race".[34]

Though i would think that since they were a former colony of Spain the answer should be yes, unless their culture language and customs are unique to the Philippine Islands.

It hardly matters. Richardson walked back his statements, and I doubt that Cruz gives a damn how folks like XO define him.

All the leaders of the Republican party who are aware of the trouble the party is in know they have to let people with different opinions about things such as abortion, gun laws, the death penalty, and so forth, feel welcome. This is just a fact. As the party stands now they are intolerant, self-indulgent, backward looking, and consequently endangered. People like BT can pretend otherwise but the rest of America, indeed the world, knows the reality of it.

Sometimes the ascending consensus needs to be examined, scrutinized and debunked at which time it is best to launch the next ascending consensus. Need to keep the voters dazed and confused. Believe what you wish.
It matters little.

LOL....oh the irony, when its the Dem party that puts a capital I, to intolerance.  If one merely has a different viewpoint....you're outa here.  Don't tow the racial line of what you better believe based simply on your skin color....you're outa here

And all the while a great man, in Martin Luther King, turns over and over in his grave, as his message becomes more and more mutated by the left, 180 degrees polar opposite of what he preached, and died for.

There are many languages spoken in the Philippines, Spanish and English are two of them. The official language is Tagala or Tagalog. Catholics there are most likely to speak Spanish. There are lots of Spanish words in Tagala, which is a sort of pidgin language, like Bahasa Indonesia.

MLK would not have found sirs in any way worth a damn.

Why?....am I the wrong race??  Given how MLK's life was about respecting everyone, regardless of race, you'd be wrong yet again
