One is tempted to label this a "war on women", but that term is already taken by the opponents of the Hobby Lobby decision, where the Supreme Court held that one couldn't force an employer to pay for the abortifacients of an employee. Over time, the West has cheapened the language of discourse.

War on women means that women  are being denied the right to decide whether to have an abortion or not. They are being told that their reproductive systems do not deserve to be treated like all other health problems.

The Fundie Muslim war on women is far more oppressive, but it is based on the same view that men should decide what rights women should have
, rather than making it their own personal individual decision.

   Although there is a lot of liberal talking about how conservative men want to be bossy, this is entirely calumny. There is no there there.

   If it could be somehow proven that babies are not human until they emerge from the womb, there would be no question that abortion was everyone's right, and pregnancy would deserve no more consideration than an infestation of worms.

    Fortunately for the future I think science is on the side of sentience emerging much earlier than viability and that viability is moving earlier too.

     Meaning that the orthodox liberal position is an unconcern for the rights of the innocent.

It is not for a mother or a father to determine that one or more of their children should be shot , drowned in caustic or pulled apart with wires.

There is no reason to call these babies anything but human beings, the more you try to make the distinction clear, the more you must abandon science and logic.

We do tend to be very smug about how much better than our ancestors we are, we have forbidden slavery for generations now, but the times of the future shall regard us just as harshly , if we are just as hard headed against the evidence as slave owners ever were.

You can assume the rights of one person so much higher than another person without having to justify it in logic or science or scripture.
