Oh, put a cork in it.

The fact is that the Republican Party has N E V E R even nominated one single Black American to statewide office since the GOP was founded in 1856.
How many years does a bird have to waddle and quack before you can see that it is a duck and has always been a duck?

Do you mean in a particular state?

Maine perhaps?

There would be several states where this would also be true of the Democratic Party.

I mean that in Louisiana, because this is about Louisiana, the Republican Party has not nominated a single Black candidate in 156 years.
Is that hard for you to understand?

What the Hell does this have to do with Maine?

Did they run this ad in Maine?

Until quite recent times the Republican party was a negligible, tiny part of the Louisiana political scene.

From the Reconstruction period through the Jim Crow era , the Republicans couldn't get much of a foothold there.

The reason being ,the racist Democrats holding the electorate in the clutch of fear .

Republican Candidates have to volunteer and have to push petitions and gain votes, which of these are black people failing to do?

Has Maine ever had a black Democrat take state office?

Maine does not have more than a handful of Black people.
Maine is not part of this discussion.

The Democrats dominated Louisiana until the Civil Rights Bill. When Black people finally got the vote, they demanded a role in the Democratic Party.
The Racist Southern Democrats were more into racism than Democracy and jumped to the Republican Party, which was not previously possible because the Republicans were too closely allied with Lincoln and Reconstruction. But the Lincoln haters had died off by 1964. This was called the "Southern Strategy". Now the GOP is the racist Whites-only party. Only gradually are they accepting Balcks into their ranks, and this has not yet happened in Louisiana.

That is the story you got told , but it is not the facts.

Do you really think that people who have been fighting racism all their lives can convert to being the racist favorite overnight?

This is a ridiculous story , do you feel in danger of converting to racism yourself right now? Perhaps a cosmic ray will strike you the same way that the party of the Kingfish was struck.

When people tell you that all the James Crow migrated during the early sixtys and that the Louisiana government turned Republican so that it could stay White , you should ask why there were four more decades before there was a state government not dominated by Democrats.

Can you really name the person and his race that was the first Republican governor of Louisiana?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Governors_of_Louisiana#Post-Reconstruction

Here we go.

Louisiana has had 11 Republican Governors. One of which is a little bit brown.

Democrats have held this governorship 41 times , every single one as white as their sheets.

Again. this ad is in NO WAY "Great" because it is entirely negative.

Negative ads cannot be great, no matter what party pays for them.

But let's not expect any professorial criticism aimed at his prescious Dems, who are far and wide predominantly leading in such ads

The race for control of the Senate in this year’s election is big, expensive, important—and negative. And the most negative so far are those with the most to lose...Democratic groups, fighting to defend more Senate seats and keep control of the chamber, have been more negative than their Republican counterparts, that independent analysis shows... In that early September period, for example, 70.5% of ads run on behalf of Democrats from all sources were rated as negative, while 39.3% of those run on behalf of Republicans were negative.

Among outside groups, 91.4% of ads backing Democrats were negative, while the figure was 77.9% among groups backing Republicans. Similarly, in the period between Sept. 12 and Sept. 25, the Wesleyan analysis found that just under 40% of negative ads aired directly by Democratic candidates themselves attacked the personal characteristics of their Republican opponents, while all negative campaign ads from Republicans focused on policy fights.

The issue is not all that crap, it is that this piece of crap is NOT a "GREAT AD" as "Christians" claims.], because it a negative ad that claims that a Democrat failed at her job without mentioning even ONE THING that she failed to do.

It is NOT a "great ad", It is a sucky ad.

The issue is.....Negative ads cannot be great, no matter what party pays for them  That wasn't specific to this ad alone, that was specific to negative ads in general.  Much like you can keep your insurance/doctor.....period.

So now negative ads are ok,...... with the appropriate parameters?  Lemme guess, they're ok if its a Dem negative ad aimed at Republicans......right?

I guess we can assume this negative ad is ok, right?.  I mean, comparing a group to a bunch of sexual molesters is perfectly ok, right?

As I said, I dislike all negative ads. No matter whom they favor.

The fewer reasons they give for criticizing the target of the ad, the less great they are.

The Old Black Dude on the allegedly "great" ad only said that his neighborhood had remained the same. Of course, there are many issues, ex=specially local ones, that the federal government does not address, because they are matters addressed by state and local officials and governments.

So then it'd be safe to say how far more disappointed you are with the Democrats, since they're peppering the airwaves with FAR MORE of these ads, than the GOP.  Glad we have that cleared up.

I really doubt that. I donlt doubt that you would make that claim, though.

Rick Scott is way ahead of Charlie Crist (who Christians  really LOVED when he was a Republican)  here in miami-Dade, even though he is certain to lose here where we hate his ugly guts.

I didn't make the claim...I reposted that FACT, just a few posts above.  Ignore it at your leisure, as you so often do when confronted with inconvenient truths
