So you question the fact that there is racism in Louisiana?
This is a question of degree.
Louisiana has a unique history in regards of racism , I once had a Cajun instructor that informed me that he wasn't white , he was Cajun which is better.
The French and Spanish heritage was a lot less severely racist than the Plantation culture that came in later , so in Louisiana there were a lot more Mulatto slave owners and a lot more respect for African cultural influence.
So yes there is had always has been racism in Louisiana but not especially so, New Orleans is a center of African American culture , when do you think this started?
Has San Francisco had as many black mayors as New Orleans , which states have had more minority and female Senators and Governors?
Mary Landrieu's present employment is evidence that she is wrong, how can she ignore facts she is so close to?
Mary Landrieu has a message to the Louisiana voter, and it is an undeserved insult, so she deserves the loss she is earning.
