Pro-abortion fanatics like to toss out rape as a valid excuse for encouraging women to kill their unborn child by having an abortion, saying it isn't fair for a woman, especially one who's young, to be "punished" with a child.
There are other solutions, of course, such as giving the child up for adoption, but the loony left never presents that option, nor do they actively encourage it.
Well, one woman, who was raped at the age of 15, decided to reject abortion, and now, decades later, she?s being blessed beyond belief for her decision.
From LifeNews:
At the young age of 15, Kathy Anderson was raped by a family friend and became pregnant. She hid the pregnancy from her parents, and because of her petite frame, didn't show for eight months.
Kathy told LifeNews, "The night I went into labor, I thought I was suffering from food poisoning. My mother took me to hospital and the doctor announced that I was nine-months pregnant. Needless to say my mother fainted and I still had no grasped of what this meant. I gave birth to a little beautiful girl. She was perfect. I wanted her like nothing I've ever wanted before. She was mine..all mine. They allowed her to stay in room with me and I'll never ever forget the smell of her or those eyes looking at me."
However, shortly after Kathy met her little girl, her mother, doctor and social workers pushed her to place her daughter for adoption.
Kathy never regrets her decision not to have an abortion."I have wanted for so long to speak out of the horrors of abortion. I've been approached by so many people to tell my story. Adoption does NOT end your life,
I'm proof. I went on to have two more daughters to replace the void left. I worked, went to school, opened a business and nothing got in my way, Both my daughters are homeowners, did wonderful in school and never missed curfews, So
the pro choice people just use that as an excuse," she told LifeNews.
Kathy's daughter Katie was adopted by a family from Minnesota and she's currently 29-years-old, living in Arizona, and studying to become a criminologist.
The two have met and share their story together, clearly demonstrating that abortion is not?and should not?be the first option that springs to mind when dealing with a pregnancy due to rape.
Kathy's story is one of critical importance in our modern day culture that seems to have no problem denying the right to life for the unborn.
While rape is something that is beyond horrific,
why should the child who is a product of such a despicable crime be punished for the sins of the father? That simply isn't fair, and for a group of people who claim to be all about equal rights for all people, it?s abhorrent and hypocritical to support and encourage rape victims to get abortions.
Victims of rape should be encouraged to either keep their child or give it up for adoption, as those are the morally right answers to this horrible dilemma.
Abortion is murder, no matter how you might try to justify it, and taking an innocent human life is always wrong.
Let's hope Kathy and Katie?s story inspires other rape victims to seek out alternatives for dealing with pregnancies that are a result of rape instead of immediately turning to abortion.
