I don't think this is in any way true.

His mother at the time of his birth was living in Hawaii and was surely not thinking of the possibility of marketing her son as a politician.
The attitude towards Muslims in the US at that time was nothing like what it is today.

It has been asserted to me that the only reason to call this man by his full name is racism.
How do the people responsible for the name in the first place escape this charge?

The way this was done was clearly racist.

Clearly, racism is in the eye of the beholder.

If his mother were to call young Barak Hussein Obama by his full name when his behavior needed adjusting, I would not have called this racist.

The Barak and the Obama sound just as atypical as the Hussein btw, much  like the birth certificate , I consider this to be much ado about nothing.

The asshole commentators on Fox, the birthers and many of the Teabaggers used it in an obviously racist way.

   Here is an obvious challenge.

Can you quote a speech made at a TEA party Rally or otherwise associated with the TEA party that illustrates your point?

I believe that challenge has been presented many a time Plane.  The only thing you get is the repetative use of one Democrat politician who claims he heard someone call him some derrogatory term, while at a TEA party rally....and poof, the entire movement is deemed racist to the core    :o

  It kinda works too.

There is really nothing more racist about the TEA party than the Post Office, but if you imagine the accusation you can make it.

Seems to have been a real impediment to the TEA party getting their actual message out.

The Tea Party had and still has no real message. TEA is supposed to mean "Taxed Enough Already":, but they had no coherent tax reform plan. Many of the honchos expressed an interest in taxing EVERYBODY, even the very poorest, so they would have "skin in the game": there were flat taxers and Consumption taxers and silly sumbitches that only wanted to abolish the IRS and have tax d=forms that would fit on a postcard. This seems to have been particularly popular among those that  must have flunked Remedial Math 099.

If you look at the signs that some of these dingbats brought to their rallies, it was pretty clear that many of them were not cool with a Black guy as president./ In fact, Obamahate is the unifying principle. But it is not acceptable to even virtually lynch Black guys, so they denied that they hated "Hussein Obama", even though they portrayed him as the Joker in whiteface and with pictures in which he had a bone through his nose and was dressed as a witch doctor.

This is not quite what I asked for.

Of course it might be difficult to find evidence of TEA party people actually behaving as imagined.

Racism was no part of the TEA party , but it is a criticism already loaded and useful in all situations.

It is NOT DIFFICULT to find evidence of racism in the Tea Party. As I said before, there were DOZENS of clearly racist signs at their first rallies.

The Tea Party has difficulty getting its message out, because it has no real message, other than "We are a bunch of aging elderly White folks who hate our government and want to return to good old days which we are too fucking stupid to recognize never existed."

No.
A caricature of the president is not racist unless its point depends on race.
Portraying the president as "the joker" is not racist , it is a funny adaptation of the presidents own election posters that painted him funny.
But racist is easy to say and as you demonstrate, requires no demonstration.

The TEA party has a cogent and important simple point to make , which you have not even heard because you have been distracted and never went to the source.

I am reminded strongly of the people who do not know that Tina Fey and Sara Palin are two people.

BINGO!!

It's much like the healthcare "argument", when we're told that the GOP just hates Obama and Obamacare and just wants to scrap it, based on that alone, with nothing to replace it with, when in reality, there are a myriad of healthcare options the GOP has supported, but never able to even bring it to a vote, thanks to Reid & the Dems, running the Senate at the time.  The left's problem is that the GOP's options don't include the Federal Government running it, which is why the sham is pushed that they don't have any alternatives to begin with

There is not one universal medical plan that the GOP has supported. Not one single one.

They had their chance, and they blew it.

EXACTLY MY POINT....SUCH A PLAN WOULD REQUIRE GOVERNMENT CONTROL

They had their chance, and they blew it.

And still wrong.....the efforts made, when Bush was in office, and GOP controlled congress, passed a limited government program of prescription medication.  But even that entailed too much Government control.  The programs that the GOP support, which are many, are controlled by the Free market, with some Government oversight.  Nor does it include "universal healthcare", since that's not only a Government controlled program, its also not conducive to quality healthcare.

Nor were any of these GOP plans even allowed to be voted on by Reid.  In other words, they were never given a chance

There is no Republican plan for any sort of universal healthcare.

And it is a LIE that it cannot work: it works pretty effectively in at least 30 other countries.

The Republicans are antiquated reactionaries and a waste of time.
