Hawaii Ditches ObamaCare Exchange

Spencer Irvine  -   June 7, 2015

That's another state-run health care exchange that bites the dust.

Maryland was almost abandoned, Oregon just closed theirs, and now Hawaii closes theirs.

Besides the economics, I think they're reading the tea leaves.....as in when SCOTUS rules against the Administration, and guts the subsidies, which were clearly ONLY to go to states that started their own exchanges, the left & MSM is already gearing up to paint Republicans as the bad guy for daring to not fix the language of the legislation, so that places like Hawaii don't have to worry, the tax payers will do it for you

Obamacare's disaster is all Democrat doing.  They passed it without reading it.  They passed it without 1 single republican supporter.  But its the Republican's fault when it falls on its own clearly defined wording??  Once the GOP tries to "fix it", they are then married to it, and the Dems are off the hook

Goddamned right it is the asshole Republican'ts fault.

The law allows for state exchanges and a national exchange. If the latter makes more sense, then that is the way to go.

That was never the Democrat's plan, which is why the worded Obamacare the way they did.  So of course its the Demawon'ts doing.  It won't stop them from trying to make it the GOP's mess, but lying comes naturally to the left

The ACA was mostly left up to Congress.  Obama said he would go along with anything they decided according to several guidelines. The rightwing decided to rename it Obamacare to appeal to the racists in their ranks.

Watch and see how it will NOT be repealed.  Why? Because more people like it than like the alternative of the previous mess.

The UNAffordable Care Act was legislation written and passed by Democrats only.  Not left up to anyone, once the Dems passed it, without one supporter from the GOP.  Not to mention, that Obama & the Dems praised the name Obamacare

And it's absolutely hogwash to think most people like it more than what was in existance before hand.  Quite the polar opposite, in fact

Ummmm what is the difference here?
Ummmm let me see.....lol
One entity the state does not have a money printing press...thus lives in the real world.
Second entity the Fed gvt does have a money printing press....thus lives in a fantasy world.
One can pretend money grows on trees and the other can't.
So lets switch it all over to the Feds so they can just print up money to cover the shortfall.
And we'll all live happily ever after while our money is further debased and live beyond our means.

Ooooo....why doesn't the Tresury just mint some trillion dollar coins.....poof, no more debt.  and it pays for Obamination care, several times over.  Problem solved, right?  Oooo, then the Government can subsidize everyone for a $30/hr minimum wage.  Poof.....no more income disparity.  What could possibly go wrong with such a perfect leftist plan?

Again I note that the right wingers only start blathering like Tooki-tooki birds about Things We Cannot Afford when it is something useful that got government does for the people. When it is a matter of megabazillion weapons and useless and endless wars, money is no object.

When its matters of Constitutional responsibility, which is clearly the defense of this country as primary, and not the providing of healthcare to everyone......well, there you go.  You don't like it...then amend the fricken Constitution as it was designed to be amended

What do you think the proportions  are between defense and social services  right now?

Leftists have won this argument so well that more than half of us are on the dole and less than half of the government is concerned with defense.

That is two ridiculous things.

Even less is required to keep this country safe. Bazillions are squandered on useless planes and ships.

So says you.  Good thing you're not in charge, or we'd indeed be speaking some version of German or Japanese......or Arab

How do you get this measurement?

In 1939 we definitely did not have enough, our potential enemies were not intimidated and became actual enemies.

What is the yardstick for enough?

Should the amount be a portion of the total or a fixed amount?

Or is it totally dependent on the quality of the need?

This is not 1939. the country is not threatened with attack from any other country.

You might as well be nattering about a leprosy epidemic, or a return of the Bubonic plague.

It is pretty clear that one has won the argun=mewnt when the other side starts talking about the dangers of Nazis.
