If the entire country restricted guns as Chicago does, and had done so for decades, then many fewer people would be shot.
The right wing likes to blather on and on about Chicago because Obama lived there.
Shall we make it Detroit instead? DC? NY? It has nothing to do with where Obama lived. It has everything to do with what's wrong with the notion more gun laws and "gun free zones"
Here's a better one, let's restrict your free speech some. Let's say you can only criticize Republicans M, W, & F, and 1 weekend a month. And before the circular deflective arguments start raining, yes, speech/words can kill too. Many a riot has started with mere words, that has led to death and destruction. Mass panics can also be started with mere words, leading to people being trampled and crushed.
Point being, that restricting a fundamental right we all have in this country, doesn't make it safer...except for a centralized government perhaps, while the rest of the citizenry is left to defend themselves with a spatula against thugs and nuts had had absolutely no intention of abiding by your asinine gun restrictions
Why not mention Honolulu? He lived there as well?
Because its an island, thousands of miles off the coast, makes it VERY hard to smuggle in illegal firearms
More guns means more people get shot.
And more guns in the hands of law abiding gun owners in the U.S., results in more lives being saved then taken.
