From your point of view this is much better safety than the whole rest of the country where about one third of the total are armed.

So if your are correct in your assumptions, the conditions in that nightclub were almost exactly one hundred times better for safety than the country at large.

This leads me to doubt your assumptions.

And in terms of mass shootings , the most common similarity of them all together is being a gun free zone.

I go into gun free zones when I have to, but I do not thereby feel one whit safer.

This is an important point , I am glad you brought it up and we agree it is true.

 The potential robbers and murderers know this just as well and are depending on it when they instigate trouble.

The odds of being interrupted need to be better than one in ten to serve as a real deterrent.

There are already enough guns available , we just need to encourage more militia like behavior.

NOTHING will STOP mass shootings.  The idea is to propose actions that can lessen them and at the same time DOESN'T INFRINGE ON THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS.  One of the 1st actions that will do that is to do away with the idiocy of Gun Free Zones.  Allow law abiding CCW holders access to all manner of venues.
