   China has to shield North Korea from consequences , else their constant state of war would not be supportable.

     I imagine Chinas hierarchy considering Korea as an obligation , as an allay , as an embarrassment or even as a junkyard dog on a leash.

      I do not imagine anyone on the outside of North Korea loosing any respect for the leadership of North Korea, not even in China.

I don't see where this is anything new or different. China does not want a war, the US does not want a war, South Korea does not want a war. North Korea only wants to appear that it has gained something. The Kim regime may be thinking that turmoil in US politics has made the US weaker.

And I won't even start on our own border security and compromised national security with the bone head policies of Obama and gross negligence of Clinton
