It is pretty stupid to tell the citizens that they have the right to protest because people fought and died to give them that right, and then tell them that out of gratitude for being granted that right, they must never use it.
How does that make any bloody sense?
The Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 were fought for the rights of citizens.
The Mexican War, the Spanish American War, WWI, Vietnam and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were not. There was no way the Taliban, Saddam, Kaiser Wilhelm, Uncle Ho, Santa Anna or Isabel II would have deprived Americans of free speech or other rights had the US lost.
The Civil War and WWII were sort of toss ups. The Confederacy would have continued to deprive slaves and the landless from their rights had the South won. WWII MIGHT have ended up wit the Germans taking over the US.
Nobody died in Vietnam to protect free speech, freedom from religion or guns. Get real!
