i thought the wall was made for political reason . it distracted the population for being annoyed with the government. remember with a population that large exactly how does one control them. it`s not like the government was beneficial.

Then why isn't it built already?

There is plenty of annoyance.

And who exactly wants the wall- -compared to who is annoyed with the government?

The Wall would not stop illegals from entering this country.
It would not only cost a huge fortune to build, it would require maintenance that would also cost a fortune. A 2000 mile wall would require major expenditures.

It's not supposed to "stop", simply make it harder, thus less incentive to even try.  Every program requires some form of maintenance, and a wall requires very little

Point being its absolutely a credible & plausible campaign pledge that can be accomplished, ... if Trump wins & the GOP maintains majority control of Congress

You are totally right it would not be enough.

Doubling size of the Coast guard and finding better ways to keep up with over extended visas would also be good to do.

"Enough" is exactly the question, the expense and trouble it takes to make our country entirely impenetrable is  probably too much, extra expenses like that helped handicap the Soviet Union.

But if a number of people that amount to more than several of our small states come and go without permission , we are definitely not doing enough yet and a little more spending is warranted.
