THAT'S for God-damn sure.  Where'd Bush be without them?  Same place Hitler woulda bin without the Jews. 

Every Nazi, including Bush, including Hitler, needs an alien "enemy" to demonize, in theory powerful enough to dominate the world, in reality weak enough to kick around with total impunity. 

Hitler had correctly sized up the Jews as the perfect victims of his lying bullshit;  Bush, not even one-tenth as smart as Hitler, badly misjudged his intended victims - - turns out they can shoot back, and aren't anywhere near as passive in accepting their fate at the hands of the fascist aggressors.

There was a Fascist movement in the Middle East in the 1940's. It was led by Syrian Christians though, not Muslims. Muslims joined in later and one of the earliest leaders (a Christian) became a very influential figure on some early Ba'athists such as Saddam Hussein. Otherwise you are pretty much correct, Fascism wasn't all that successful within Islamic states.

It found far more support in Latin America within Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, El Salvador, and Honduras as well as on the Iberian peninsula with Spain and Portugal. Notably all regimes that the United States supported. Go figure.
